Jason has been an artist his entire life. Even as far back as second grade his teacher pulled him aside and said When you're given these talents, they're for you to share. Jason took this to heart and through the years has shared his artistic abilities in many different mediums. Jason's phenomenal use of color fused with an extraordinary eye for detail gives his work an individuality that has developed into a signature style.
Jason's professional career began with airbrushing custom designs onto guitars. After his move to California he began silk screening decals for Micro West, a model airplane company. He entered the comic book industry in 1992 and has worked as a freelance colorist and illustrator for companies including Archie Comic Publications, Inc., BroadSword Comics, Tokyopop, and Chaos! Comics. In addition to his comic book work, Jason creates original children's designs marketed as prints and greeting cards. Jason's color work with Mattel Interactive, a division of Mattel, Inc. can bee seen on their CD rom game, Cosmo Girl.
His color work is on CD covers and tour merchandise for the bands Iced Earth and Doomsday. He is a member of the Mountain Artists Guild and his original acrylic and mixed media paintings have been available in their gallery and original designs on hand painted furniture can be found throughout the Southwest. His collaborative works with artist Dave Newman are available at the Newman Gallery in Prescott, AZ.
Jason is currently designing artwork for the Grand Canyon which will be marketed on apparel, coffee mugs, and magnets. Jason is also currently working for Archie Comic Publications, Inc. coloring titles such as Sonic, Sabrina, and Josie and the Pussycats.
